Welcome to my homepage and thank you for your interest. Currently, I am Professor in the Institute of Business Information Systems at the University of Applied Sciences Western Switzerland in Sierre.

EPFLAI LabFrom 2004 to 2007, I was Research Associate in the Artificial Intelligence Lab at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL).

In summer 2006, I have been working during several weeks at the Intelligent Software Agents Group at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, USA.

From 2000 to June 2004, I worked as a project manager at Limmat Foundation in Zurich, an internationally-based foundation committed in social investment. My main areas of activity covered social project management and investment controlling.

In 2001, I published a monograph at Springer Verlag: "Objective Coordination in Multi-Agent Systems Engineering. Design and Implementation.", Volume 2039 of LNAI. The book mainly concerns methodological issues in the software engineering of multiagent systems, using techniques from distributed programming.

From 1996 to 2000, I was a research scientist in the Pervasive and Artificial Intelligence Group of the University of Fribourg in Switzerland. I contributed to AXE (Autonomy and Coordination Supports Evolution), a Swiss National Science Foundation project.

I obtained my Master in Computer Science and Biology from the University of Fribourg in 1995.
